Law 48/2014 transposes EU Directive 2011/7/EU. B2B payment deadline is 30 days from invoice, extendable to 60 days by contract. Public authority payments capped at 30 days (60 for healthcare). Unfair contractual terms excluding interest are unenforceable.

Interest Rate

Late payment interest under Law 48/2014, Article 5: Bank of Albania REPO rate + 8 percentage points (for Lek); ECB main refinancing rate + 8 percentage points (for Euro). Fixed compensation of EUR 40 equivalent for recovery costs, payable without reminder.
